BUTAI (=stage) with 13 windows for 13 performers

The design competition was held in the Nagoya World Design Exposition to make a YATAI(=Movable Architecture), inviting Italian architect Aldo Rossi as a head of judges. The setting won gold prize, and was actually produced at the site. Big and small, various holes produce in the translucent act in the front stage and you can see the various shape of the stage there. The actor moves between the frames put up behind when moving from the stage to the following stage. What the spectator sees is a fragment of the movement seen through flickering shadow and a hole.
