2001 Toda,Japan The owner of the house has collections of books on the various fields which very important part of his life. There was a desire to make a library a happy place as a playground of wisdom towards the demand of having a lot of bookshelves. Irregular space between bended wall along the road and the Interior wall on the orthogonalized axis, and irregularly continues up and down by narrowing and broadening. The bookshelves are built in this length space along the stairs, and a small desk is installed. The stairway which connects the house longitudinally plays the role like the spine of this house from mother’s room on the 1st floor to the bedroom, the bathroom on the 2nd floor, and the living dining on the 3rd floor as 3-D space where the rooftop also connects include where all family members are. |
